Shabaha Model


Shabaha is a social impact venture. It provides a platform which enables anyone to help finance our farmers and gain attractive rewards at the same time. Shabaha’s principal objective is to bring low cost and sustainable financing that is secured by agribusiness to smallholder farmers.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

The idea (shabaha Model) aspires to solve lack of low cost funding for our farmers and lack of crop & animal husbandry technical support.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Crowdfunding platform (Shabaha mobile application) will provide a unique opportunity for Kenyans and the world at large to help finance our farmers and at the same time earn very attractive rewards from the farm profits. The idea capitalize on the thriving mobile money payment platform in Kenya (MPESA). Mobile money penetration in Kenya is favorable to the idea its about 80%.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The shabaha team is dedicated in making the idea a reality. Its the first of its kind in the country. We accept the challenges associated with startups but we are committed and passionate to working smart to leave to our objective of providing low cost sustainable funding and other production resources & technology to our farmers.
