UniExo

Abstract

UniExo is modular exoskeleton, which will change stationary medical equipment to mobility devices, and improves rehabilitation movements of people, without additional help of doctors. Our product helps to save medical institutions for the purchase of medical devices. This positive effect on the quality and the period of rehabilitation clinics. Therefore people are using this device will not engaged in a self-treatment. The device also allows you to keep statistics of rehabilitation that there is important for hospitals and the Ministry of Health.

Who is your customer?

Our customer is clinics, rehabilitation centers which have stationary rehabilitation devices. Also we plan strategy for people wit disabilities.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Today we have problem in rehabilitation: it is time, money, moral, factors, inconveniences. Our product helps to save medical institutions for the purchase of medical devices. This positive effect on the quality and the period of rehabilitation clinics. Therefore people are using this device will not engaged in a self-treatment. Our product has 2 target market: medical devices and digital health. Now actively developing market of digital health and medical devices, and our product can take between 15 to 30 percent of the market for about 2-3 years. Also, this product is in demand in Asia and Europe, and also can take between 5 to 10 percent of these markets.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

First is a modular design that changes its dimensions, not stationary device. Second robotic device that has stabilizers for hands and legs during rehabilitation movements. Third, monitoring rehabilitation of patient, remote control via doctor for critical situations.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Holovachenko Anton- CEO, founder of the project. Responsible for the construction of prototypes, testing and launch. Holovachenko Tatyana - co-founder, CTO responsible for contacts with the clinic «Okhmatdyt», product strategy. Taras Markevych – responsible for developing mobile application «UniExo» for the exoskeleton. It works on the mobile app of alpha-version. ARTKB and OneTech is partners of the project. They help with development design of product, and in future helps for mass production. Andrew Voropai - responsible for the development of an interface to control the exoskeleton through neurohelmet; actively are discussing and negotiate on cooperation. (Negotiations are under way). By the end of the year we plan to expand the team to 10 people, which will include doctors and programmers that can help improve the security and manufacturability of my product to the users.
