Rock Roast Coffee Company


We are the only non-profit triple certified coffee company in the United States of America. By using green economics, selling Rock Roast Coffee across Pennsylvania, we hope to use all our profits to fund research to help rebuild the rain forest in Nicaragua and increase the affluence of the area.

Who is your customer?

Our customers are bird lovers, people who consider fair trade and organic certifications in their buying process, and of course the coffee lovers.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

This product serves the demand for coffee that is produced, and consumed in a sustainable way and whose total profits go to solving various environmental and societal needs, thus fulfilling the triple bottom line.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

The uniqueness of our company serves us well. Again, we are the first non-profit triple certified coffee company. We believe that people who are knowledgeable in their buying process and care where their dollar goes will be our market. This is a large market because we are able to hit four broad categories, bird lovers, fair trade enthusiast, health nuts, and most importantly, coffee lovers.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our advantage is that each of these certifications are difficult to obtain and we are a not-for-profit company. We intend to have a successful product by promoting not just our coffee but also communicating to our consumers the cause we are fighting for, and how their contribution will help us reach our goals.
