Scarola "Purposeful Haute Couture"

Abstract

Scarola is a couture children’s clothing line than introduces an original-concept brand designed and produced in Mexico. The valuable handiwork that artisans across México have preserved through generations inspired the idea to incorporate their embroidery, open work and crochet details in a special collection that blends design and artisanship in pieces of great aesthetic and traditional value.

Each design includes some element of hand-made art from indigenous communities across Mexico, with the potential to reach out to artisans around the world.

We believe in the value of these artisans' work, the need to preserve it, and the positive sustainability effects that come from providing a certain stream of income to indigenous artisans (commonly women), while helping them build their own business.
