Handmade Grooming Products

Abstract

The “man scent” soap/grooming market is currently underserved. There are only a few companies out there that provide men a way to cleanse themselves and smell like a man after doing so, even fewer that can also provide these products in all-natural options. There are many options out there with unnecessary chemicals, but very few all-natural options available, that’s where we come in. K Bar Soap Co (KBSC) offers grenade shaped soap, and other male grooming products with scents that active, rough living, freedom loving men and hard core women will gravitate to. This is all natural cold-process soap made in small batches to keep a superior quality standard. We strive to grow the business, but at the same time not compromise the integrity of the product just to increase production. Our products surpass the performance of store-bought, mainstream equivalents by leaving your skin feeling invigorated and clean unlike these cheaply made variants. We have scents like Whiskey and Bad Decisions, Napalm in the A.M., Reveille, Firewatch, Chest Candy, Ricky Recon, F%^k Bugs, Salt Dog, and Opha Mae, all with different cleansing, conditioning, and scrubbing properties. This offering allows us to tap into a much larger demographic than other competitors in the space.

Who is your customer?

The patriotic and freedom loving people across the land that want to take care of their skin and use a grenade to scrub with. Built for men, but works for bad ass women of the world as well.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Most men are hardheaded, like myself, and do not take notice of the products they put on their skin beyond the scent. We aimed to create a product that looked awesome enough to men to get a dialogue going in order to open their eyes to the unnecessary chemicals they are scrubbing themselves with daily while using main stream body wash and soap. The shape of the bar would cause them to stop and take a second look, then maybe they would actually pick it up, then end up using it because it is just so bad ass. Then, boom! they would be hooked to the goodness that is all natural handmade soap and the benefits it provides for your skin.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

The overall look and shape of the bar will appeal to most folks that I am trying to reach with this endeavor. When the shape is combined with the names of the scents for each one, people almost cannot resist at least buying one just to try out. The soap paired with my complimentary all natural items for men make a complete package that will only continue to grow. The scent possibilities are almost limitless with the vast availability of Essential Oils this day and age.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We have a clear and distinct advantage because of the shape and scents of out products. My products have a heavily military influenced theme, the bars are long lasting which has been a complaint received by competitors that I set out to improve upon, and there are very few handmade soap companies in this space. As the ongoing trend of getting back to basics and using less chemicals continues to increase, so will my customer base.
