By 2018 100MM heart rate wearables will be sold p.a. making it a US$20BN market. Kuai target market are 18 to 44 years old interested in Running (200MM), Swimming (240MM), Cycling (200MM) and Gym (160MM); with 70% of people using headphones and monitoring their performance during exercise our total potential worldwide market is 550MM people.
What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?
No solution fulfills current needs in the sport and fitness market. Existing fitness wearables provide incomplete data and users lack the motivation and guidance required to exercise efficiently. Kuai provides a unique solution by giving users access to an online marketplace of sport training plans for running, swimming, cycling, general fitness, weight loss, relaxation, etc. Coaches create training plans and submit them to the Kuai platform for users to download, using a business model and pricing strategy similar to the App Store.
What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?
A disruptive business model in the sport training market that incorporates the Kuai Wearable Coach that automatically adapts downloaded training plans to each individual and provides smart voice coaching, using accurate sensors, patented technology and proprietary software algorithms.

Kuaiwear is lead by a skilled multi-disciplinary team with extensive experience in the market, including a multi-award winner entrepreneur, former engineers from Nokia, Beats, Sony, Huawei, HTC and Google, a Sport Scientist, a Machine Learning Scientist, a 5 times World Champion, US Olympic Gold and USATF President, and top advisers including former NCR President and OMRON’s CTO.
Additionally, Kuaiwear has two utility patents, one covering multi-sport biometric feedback devices, systems and methods for adaptive coaching. And another covering biometric feedback systems for adaptive coaching with external devices. And it also has patents covering the industrial design of Kuai headphones.
