Douse

Abstract

Same tap. 98% less water. Douse is the anticipated world’s most extreme water saving nozzle tap. By atomizing water we can use 98% less water and still retain full functionality. And if you need a little more, then you switch to our regular saving mode. Still 75% savings, but all the water you need.

The old solution for saving water has been to restrict the flow of water. But that only works up to a point. When you're left with only a drizzle, you need a shift in technology. We looked at the problem from another perspective. Instead of restricting water, we wanted to use as much of the water coming out of the tap as possible. The issue with regular taps is that you only use a fraction of the water coming out of your faucet. It bounces of the surface of your hands or plates. Or even worse, it just passes right by and straight down the drain.

The Technology comes in When ATOMIZING THE WATER, we break it up into millions of tiny droplets. Creating a high speed, heavy mist, shooting out of your tap. This increases the surface area of the water drastically and makes it possible for you to come in contact with almost all of the water coming out of your tap. 

Water stress is a truly global issue affecting over one billion people today, and an estimated 3 billion in 2020. It is a problem we need to do something about. This is our small contribution to this huge issue.
