GET (Green Electronic Ticket)

Abstract

In Burkina Faso more than 100 people per day miss their Bus for not getting the ticket on time. That makes about a figure of 36500 people per year in Burkina Faso.

In addition to this, we must add the long queues at the counters to obtain a ticket; The lack of a guarantee of place in case of purchase of a ticket, in addition more often the loss of tickets, the high cost of the ticket design and finally the lack of real-time control of the number of reservations.

To solve these problems, Green Electronic Ticket with is a way to buy a ticket online or by mobile phone via the USSD system.

With a market potential of 6 321 passengers per day in Burkina Faso and around 2 275 560 passengers per year, we intend to break with the current system by reducing queues at ticket offices, Systematically guaranteeing a place in case of purchase of the ticket, establishing a system of loyalty points, allowing the resale of unused tickets and providing a new ticket in case of loss.

Entering into the Sustainable Development Objectives GET wants to be an innovative project because reducing the use of paper by transport companies, 14775 tickets per week in Burkina, around 1 768 300 per year.
