Pablow: AI meets Travel Insurance


Within the insurance distribution process, Pablow is fully automating; onboarding, white labeling and policy selection. This is needed in an industry where onboarding timelines can be up to 18 months resulting in $ billions left on the table, millions of consumers unprotected, and 100's of thousands of distributors unserviced.

Furthermore, the traveler uptake of travel insurance in the US is merely 15%. Consumers rather take the risk rather than read the policy.

By making the process instant (i.e. as easy as setting up an email) and using Artificial Intelligence to better match policies to consumers, we anticipate helping insurance companies bring literally 100's of thousands of additional touch points into play and increasing the uptake and consumers confidence in the benefits of travel insurance.

Who is your customer?

Major travel insurance companies, travel distributors and ultimately end consumers.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Consumers don't tediously read through a travel insurance policy and therefore oftentimes are not covered for the incidences they most need coverage for. By using data analytics we'll ensure a much closer match of an insurance policy to the traveler, and finally start to repair the poor reputation of the $10 billion dollar industry.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Consumers shun travel insurance given they don't believe it's relevant to their needs. By utilizing all available data sources to make recommendations, we believe consumers will be over the moon that finally high tech has come to protect, for many, one of their biggest annual expenses.
