Zidi Products


Zidi is a line of fun products from tuLe Mashariki. Here we have made jam, salsa, ice cream and smoothies. With this we believe we shall be bridging the gap in the food sector specifically on avocado consumption. We also are going to take full advantage of them due to the fact that in the peak season avocadoes are in plenty hence many of them go bad due to high supply in the market.

Who is your customer?

Middle sized families that have a monthly shopping budget of $500 and are urban based. Heavy consumers of wheat and meat products.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Avocados during the high season go to wastage due to excess supply in the market. With this in place, farmers go at a loss. Also the steep increase in lifestyle diseases has been attributed to poor dietary habits that our target market has picked up which has been brought about by increase in their purchasing power. With Zidi products in place,it reduces the contraction of such diseases due to our products are placed against all meals of the day. Important to note is the high nutritional value of avocados. Also by adding value to avocado, we shall enable to reduce on the wastage that is experienced in the high season.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Our team of dedicated and hardworking individuals who are committed to ensuring that we get the best out of this. We believe that our past working relationship in the restaurant will give us an edge to making the business thrive due to the strong working relationship we have.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Philip is the Head of Production. His work is to solely ensure there is output of products, people are working on the value chain. Ancel is the Founder and will ensure the day to day operations go on with customers, marketing, distribution. We have carried extensive research on how to get to use avocados by formulating them with organic chemicals and proper packaging that has helped us bring out more shelf life to them.
