Farmer Joe's/online farmers market

Abstract

The business I am proposing is called Farmer Joe’s. It is a website based company that deals with local produce. This company provides a website service that allows local communities to sell their food from their gardens. Right now there is not a very good way for farmers and suburban households to sell the food that they grow, bake, produce, raise, and just make in general. This is also a good way for local chefs to really start selling their own favorite foods. So besides the garden items people grow, you can also buy meals on occasion. The website makes profit from ads, events (like festivals), and also there's a delivery option that charges a fee for delivery that will eventually be added into the website.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

This service allows farmers markets to go online, as well as create an incentive for people to try growing their own gardens no matter the size. Right now farmers are stuck to traditional methods and are held back because of it, this easy to use website will provide a way to see everything for sale food based in your area.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

This business is very self sufficient, does not require many people to work for company, costs very little to operate, and very easy to control spending and move money around if their where to be a reason to.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

For one It will be first, getting customer loyalty. and for two this company will gain its initial customers through mouth to mouth, I as well as many others will create a experience and personally get farmers to understand the use and opportunity of such a service, this creates customer loyalty and Farmers know other farmers allowing the Website to spread like a wild fire before any company becomes aware of its existence.
