Abstract

An O2O F&B marketplace where SME and household are able to sell and buy their foods online

We will provide offline (vertical) services for the restaurants to sell better (consultation, branding, lead marketing, package)

In the near future, we also planning to vertical on IoT for F&B business (smart cashier apps, big data, etc)

We choose F&B industries because this industry is strong in every era, and people is eating everyday. We want to empower the local SME to compete with the modern channels and digitalize them since mostly they are still sitting on grey area (indonesia case)

By empowering the SME (food sharing for pop-up, street stall & kiosk and small food merchants) we will have hundred thousands distribution channels to sell products, such as logistic, supply chain, POS, marketplace, branding, legal and consultation. that's how we do the business and that's how we could make money

However, we do have an issue to solve. We are focusing on big problem which is food waste. After a long research, we could summarize 3 big problems which cause people to throw their food

1. high cost to run a restaurant business (50-60% of your budget just for the rent, you still need to count people working on you, no matter if you are a street kiosk. so people are trying to make quantity over quality, people are not satisfied and throw the food. this is just an example of 1 case study)

2. ease of access to the market & suppliers (which cause inefficiency in operations)

3. education (people don't know how to cook well, or they don't know what is the effect of throwing up food)

After analyzing the issue, we know we could cover up by single platform. Plater.

We trying to create a platform where you can sell your product (less rent cost, 24 hours, no need waitress) and management system (to reduce food waste and hopefully you won't stock bad quality food or even dumped it). we cover all restaurant categories from pop-up (yes your own kitchen) to full services.

Who is your customer?

Business owner in F&B industries, especially the SME

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Basically it's not an idea to build a wonderful features. We realized business could work if we have distribution channels to deliver our products, and that's what we are making. We choose F&B industries because this industry is strong in every era, and people is eating everyday. We want to empower the local SME to compete with the modern channels and digitalize them since mostly they are still sitting on grey area (indonesia case) By empowering the SME (food sharing for pop-up, street stall & kiosk and small food merchants) we will have hundred thousands distribution channels to sell products, such as logistic, supply chain, POS, marketplace, branding, legal and consultation. that's how we do the business and that's how we could make money However, we do have an issue to solve. What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

A lot of competitors are failed in this industry and type of services. we learn the best way to do the business is not mass marketing or thousand merchants, but strong education for the services and strong community support thats why we are targeting community as our strategic partner, they will act as "salesman and educator" with less cost and better penetration We are not targeting mass market, we are targeting segmented and clustered market, in huge numbers. they will have sense of belongings and privacy

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We learn from the best, which is YC. We have multiple monetization channels to support our business. We don't know which one will become the cash cow, however we are sure this about filtering the services. As if we are an investor, we do diversification in portofolio our services included : - lead marketing - branding - legal (so we will take care for health issuance, halal, etc) - consultation - dropship - marketplace (commission per transaction) - cooking class - event / EO - analytics - POS - IOT (in the near future of course), such as smart table management, smart stove, etc However we are focusing on the marketplace with commission per transaction, we estimated total $400k per year for 1% market cap in Jakarta only How we could manage to make that monetization channels? partnership & collaboration If we assume each channel contribute 3% of income, we will have around 33% profit,
