Boxxyy is the pet box that gives back. We are a pet toys and treats subscription box company. We send our customers the highest quality treats and toys monthly and for every box purchased from us, we pledge to send an additional box of supplies to a local animal shelter in our customers area.

Who is your customer?

Our customer base encompasses two different sectors. We look for people between the ages of 21-35, single, pet owner, outdoor active, and has a sense of giving back to the community. Our research shows that people within the Millennial demographic purchase products based on experience, and if it connects with a social cause.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Boxxyy helps by supplying our consumers with different toys and treats for their dog or cat monthly. When a box is bought from us, we are sending an additional box(es) to animal shelters in the customer’s area depending on the quantity that they purchased. More boxes bought equals more supplies for these shelters, the more supplies they receive the less they must spend on non- essential items to keep their shelter going and they can focus on the important purchases.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We believe that focusing on the giving back aspect of the business will help make us successful. When shelters see that people in their area are buying a Boxxyy, it can in turn help the shelter as they do not have to purchase the items that they are consistently receiving from us. By also supplying high quality treats and toys for their cat or dog our customers will enjoy that they are being treated to a variety of items, while also supporting a shelter in need. While focusing on both giving, and giving back. We believe Boxxyy will create success in a growing market.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The Boxxyy team is made up of a group of forward and innovative thinkers. In order to execute this plan we will need a website that will be developed by the group. This website will be basic and functional at first describing the concept as we simultaneously build another website that can host all our orders. This will be done through both Wix.com, and Cratejoy.com. Next, we will need to voice our cause and what we are trying to do. We plan to do this through social media, volunteer events at animal shelters, public outings, and speaking in front of different active community groups. Our team has a great advantage from different products and competitors because not only will we supply high quality toys and healthy treats tailored to your animal, but we support a greater cause. Providing animal shelters with support through simple donations that stem from a community that not only loves their pets, but love to support their local animal shelters/rescues. Another advantage we focus on is the social entrepreneurship, and the volunteer aspect of what Boxxyy is about. We focus on our peers, the students, and active groups when we talk with them and show them who and what we support, here is where Boxxyy grows. We also have a strong online presence and multiple strong relationships with different animal shelters in the area that will give us an advantage because we voice that we focus on giving back rather than our competitors "saying" that they give back. We take the time to thank you, and letting our customer know who and where their donation went once they have received their Boxxyy.
