Abstract

School of Games is an intelligent learning app for kids under the age of 7. School of games uses Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality to support the early learning of the child, critical for language acquisition and brain development.

School of Games is also a semifinalist in the Global Learning Xprize, $15M prize sponsored by Elon Musk to give equal access to education to every child around the world.

School of games makes the child school ready by teaching endless sight words, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening, shapes & color recognition, spellings, pronunciation, word building, single digit addition, subtraction, singular, and plurals.

School of games has an innovative business model, where they charge the parents that can afford monthly subscription and give it free/subsidized to kids from low-income families.

School of Games is the first learning application for kids that uses the combination of computer vision and deep learning to identify objects around a child. It also uses speech recognition to teach the child how to speak.

Till now, the app is being used in 5 countries with more than 10,000 users and now launching on the new iOS 11 next week.

Who is your customer?

Parents of Children between the ages of 2 to 7 years of age who have access to a high quality smart device and can afford to pay in the Bay Area of California and New Delhi/ Mumbai in India.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Disrupting the existing education market with the use of Artificial Intelligence and making a product for Early childhood, an age group for which not many edtechs are currently built.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Our unique value proposition if our Wall of Changemakers which is a community of parents who buy our subscriptions and through that become change makers as they subsidize education for a child in need. We want to follow the footsteps of Tom Shoes.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our Learning team is very strong as our curriculum was designed by Stanford's Learning, Design and Technology Graduates.
