All-In-One mHealth Platform

ClickMedix mobile health platform enables health organizations to implement innovative digital programs in disease management, telemedicine, post-hospital/home care, and employee healthcare from concept to deployment in less than 5 days. It provides comprehensive suite of modules including risk assessments, video/chat, patient app, diagnostics device integration, and machine learning with care plan recommendations.

Use of the platform enables health organizations to serve 10x more patients, while lowering costs and building capacity. It has been used in 18 countries, serving 350,000+ patients, mostly in India, with more than 2,000 trained to screen for health issues, connect to diagnostics devices, tele-refer to health centers, and task-shift to health workers for follow-up care.

The platform enables health workers/nurses/rural physicians to use mobile phones to screen for health concerns (e.g. diabetes, heart disease, cancer, infectious diseases, nutrition and behavioral issues) via customizable triage algorithms, then tele-consult with physicians and/or specialists to advise on treatment plans, and empowers frontline health workers to follow up as well as track additional progress (e.g. weight changes). Front-line users also learn throughout the process and improve in their knowledge and skills in triage, diagnosis, and administration of care. Trained users have demonstrated increased triage accuracy and enhanced care for patients.

Additional Questions

Who is your customer?

Our customers are health organizations desiring to use mobile health technologies to serve more patients better, faster, while lowering operational costs.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Access to healthcare is a human right. Yet, access to doctors is one of the hardest challenges to address due to the shortage of well-trained doctors and the consequent lack of access to doctors, resulting in late-stage diagnosis, increased healthcare expenses, and lengthened suffering by patients. Moreover, women, and children are particularly vulnerable with increased health and safety risks due to the lack of access to medical help. ClickMedix is a mobile health platform that enables health organizations to reach and serve more hard-to-reach patients through health workers and remote doctors.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

ClickMedix is a turnkey, customizable platform that lets specialists, doctor groups, hospitals, health corporations, and payors to deploy complete mHealth solutions allowing faster access to doctors, in real-time or asynchronously, using mobile devices (iOS, Android) or laptops, customized to the doctors’ specific workflows, with evidence-based disease management protocols, in as little as 5 days. It includes patient record tracking, diagnostics protocols, and mobile diagnostics devices integration. To help patients manage their medications, the system provides ePrescription and medication reconciliation tools. Real-time data analysis and machine learning provides correlation between patients’ health condition and their treatment, helping patients adhere to their care plan, while recommending optimal treatment pathways. The analysis also enables health organizations to determine treatment changes needed and new disease management insights for population health management. Our one-click referral feature allows physicians to collaborate with their colleagues and other specialists, and team-collaboration feature allows everyone on the medical care team to coordinate the patient’s care. Secure chat and live-video allow the care team to help patients and identify health risks at the earliest and initiate preventaive care programs.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Many mHealth solutions focus on specific disease verticals. However, healthcare needs to address the ever-changing health concerns throughout one’s life-time. This calls for a “platform” approach where health practitioners can “plug-in” solutions in the form of customizable health risk assessments, triage protocols, portable diagnostics devices and care plans to quickly create solutions for the patient population. ClickMedix mHealth platform empowers health organizations to create these solutions faster and at lower-costs than via software developers. Compared to other platform approaches, ClickMedix has more comprehensive toolset including chat/video for telemedicine, GIS, diagnostics hardware integration, training protocols, and data analytics.
