Paladin : Renting is Caring


Paladin is the first app to lend and borrow object of medium high value in a completly safe way. We want allow people to make money form all the unused stuff that they have at home as Photo camera, drill , ladder, Ski equipment, camping tent, bikes and many other object. Both the users will have an advantage. The borrower can lend a product at a fair price and the lender can make money form products that he is not using at home.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

I need a product just for few days but this products cost too much and I don`t need to or i can't buy it now. On the other side : I need some money extra but i don't want to sell my products that i have at home because I willl need it again in future. So let's rent it We give the possibility to the users to make money form unused products and on the other sice we allow people to own products that they need only for a short period of time.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We want to focus on Milan as main and first market in the first 6 months. Considering the fact that in Milan with 1.3 M people and with an high concentration of people between 18 and 45 years old, high penetration of credit card and attention to the sharing economy. The sharing economy sector of the P2P dedicated to items will grow drastically in the next 10 years looking at the PWC research, will be the biggest segment in terms of grow ( + 25 times in dollars ) after the financial ( crowdfounding ) sector.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

A Business development team will be focus in acquire rental shops so add new prodcuts on the app. To acquire new customers and download we will be focus on Facebook advertising due the fact that we are going to be really focus on a city and FB adv is the best channell at the moment to target our customers. On top of that the right ASO strategy will allow us to increase the number of dowload with a low price. Press coverage and offline comapigns will also be our focus. OOH campaigns, stand at second and market and event will increase our brand awerness in the city. Our main difference compare to the competitor is the fact that our focus is the user that is earning money, as well as the user that is renting the product. We want to be focus on products that have a value higher that 100€ and give the possibility to make money from this products. Most of the other pplatform are focus or in the side of the user that is renting the prduct or they have a lot of product with a really low value. We want be focus on products of medium high value and we want to tha users can earn money form the products that they have and don`t use before this object became completly obsolete( in terms of technology) and old.
