Cheqlo

Abstract

Cheqlo is a cross platform software that aims to optimize event management. An event host can use our platform to create an event and take attendance throughout the event. Users who are invited to an event can use our mobile application to check in using their smartphone location services. By doing this, tedious forms of invitational methods and attendance record-keeping is streamlined into one uniform platform, ultimately allowing the host to focus on execution of the actual event.

Who is your customer?

Any organization where commitment is crucial to membership (fraternities, professional organizations, RSO's) and numerous events are being held.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

This solves inefficiencies in event management, complexity in event invites, and the gray area surrounding event attendance.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Upon arrival to the event venue, event guests can check themselves in using Cheqlo. If their smartphone GPS location matches the coordinates of the event address, they will successfully be checked in. All in all, everyone on the attendance list will only be people that were physically present at the venue, along with a check-in time. This, along with a clean, simple user interface will make event management a much more efficient process for guests and hosts. Any successful product is a win-win for both parties involved, and we can really see Cheqlo going down a successful path, if marketed properly.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Almost any college student's extracurricular life involves events- chapter meetings, service hours, recreational activities, etc. Most often, these events are held through the organizations the student is involved in, and by attending these events he/she maintains a good standing in the organization. We intend on contacting these organizations and gaining downloads across the entire member class. We have team members involved in business fraternities and consulting firms, and will try reaching out to friends on other campuses to get the app used by their RSO's as well. We see us having an advantage over others in the market due to our location verification, and because our largest competitor has received low downloads and reviews on the application market.
