DIFRactive Technology


In order to create additional value for video content, DIFRactive (DIFFER-active) Technology, a B2B SaaS provider, is developing an interactive video plug-in that allows viewers to bookmark products and information they are interested in learning more about (in short: Pinterest for video). As a result, when viewers are watching a video, they will now be able to shop, see exclusive content, view character/actor information, listen to the soundtracks used, and much more, directly from the platform.

With this software incorporated on a video platform, everyone wins. DIFRactive’s primary clients, content creators, are now able to better market their work to brands for financial support through product placement. Additionally, viewers get a richer, non-intrusive viewing experience, adding much more depth to their video, while brands receive metrics regarding the performance of their products within the video to better understand their return on investment (ROI) and create a new sales channel.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Despite content being made for digital, the capabilities are no different than our experience with TV (pause, rewind, and fast forward). With DIFRactive we are able to turn video into richer experiences, by providing content creators with the software to include products to be sold straight from the video, extra content, and other information they think their viewers may enjoy. Brands will be able to get better data to how their products perform in video and content creators will be able to better fund their projects through affiliate sales and better product placement deals.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We have interviewed viewers, content creators/artists, and brands to ensure the experience provided meets all their needs. What has resulted is a non-distracting, non-interruptive interactive component that lays on top of any digital video platform.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Each​ co-founder has their respective strengths that complement one another—Dan (Finance), Garett (Marketing), Yahor (Tech). It allows us to work well together without stepping on each other's toes.
