Who is your customer?
Our target customer is the Millennial woman who lives her life with good values, keeps it simple and wants her money to speak for her - to reflect her social, political and environmental values. She lives on a tight budget and may not necessarily have a lot to invest, but wants to make a difference with what she has.
What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?
Earth Loans helps the Millennial woman learn what she's invested in, the social and environmental impact that she's supporting, and take action to remedy (sell) any investments that are inconsistent with her values. Additionally, we help her to invest in under-financed sectors such as local, sustainable, organic, regenerative farm practices; clean water technologies; green homes; renewable energy and more. By mobilizing consumer capital into these projects, we fight climate change on a grander scale than if government and business were to do it alone.
What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?
We meet the target where they hang out: social media; educate them how they like to learn: video; eliminate barriers to getting started by enabling investing with pocket change; provide assistance to understand their current investment holdings and societal impact and enable them to make the switch easily to a clean alternative.
We believe that this combination will succeed because we're combining the best of the fastest growing platforms: Instagram and Acorns.
Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?
