TreatMe

Abstract

TreatMe, is a spin-off of Match.com, however, instead of matching human soul mates, our goal is to match humans with animals! This idea was founded after researching the fact that there are numerous overcrowded animal shelters, filled with animals who often get euthanized due to the fact that they never get adopted. As well as people, who never find the perfect pet for them. Approximately 68% of households have pets, while 10% of households are either looking to adopt another pet, or adopt their first! That's where TreatMe comes in! TreatMe is in app and website form, estimated at a registration flat rate cost of $10.50/month, where people are asked a series of questions about what they prefer in a potential pet (Age, type, color, activity level, etc.), while the workers at shelter or rescue center will answer the same questions about the dogs or cats available, the app will then computer generate the perfect match! TreatMe will then send a notification when a match has been made and the user will be given all of the information about the pet and have the chance to go meet and potentially adopt! TreatMe is a Limited Liability Company with one owner/founder. This business is marketed towards individuals that are looking for the perfect pet to adopt. I believe that this business is truly unique and will make the adoption process less stressful and more enjoyable. TreatMe will be both profitably when it comes to money, as well as when it comes to saving animals while making people happy. The future for TreatMe will be rapidly expanding, hopefully even beyond the United States. However, in order for this business to be as precise and profitable as possible, we will need investors in order to hire the best, high-tech employees for own team in order to create a well-running and glitch-free website/app. As well as an investment to pay for our advertisement launch. I am asking for an investment of $50,000, which will be repaid in increments of $7,143 over the course seven years, with a 5% stake in the business. TreatMe will be extremely profitable and change the way people adopt pets, thereby helping both pets and humans to become happier. It's a friendship made at your fingertips!

My customers are individuals searching for a forever friend in an rescue animal. Rescue and adoption centers are also my customers, due to the fact that a portion of the adoption fee profit will transfer to TreatMe.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

The idea of TreatMe was developed to solve the issue of the overwhelming amounts of overcrowded animal shelters, filled with animals who often get euthanized due to the fact that they never get adopted. As well as people, who never find the perfect pet for them. Approximately 68% of households have pets, while 10% of households are either looking to adopt another pet, or adopt their first! TreatMe was also developed in order to reduce the rate of returns of pets due to the negative attributes of that anima;. with TreatMe, you will know all about the animal's personality and characteristics before you even think about adopting.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

TreatMe.com is a one of a kind business! There is nothing on the market like it! This is indeed our number one strength- we have no competitors on the market. My background that allows me to have strengths in this business would be the fact that I have adopted all of my animals, and know the types of characteristics and main attractiveness/unattractiveness of attitudes in potential animals that individuals are searching for. Hence, why there are certain subjects and questions that individuals must answer, and rescue shelter workers must answer about the pets in order to find the best match. Our company will succeed due to the fact that we are so unique, trustworthy, and precise in matching pets with owners.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The critical success factors of this company, TreatMe, has to include an intellectual team of high-tech employees willing to create a successful app and website to support TreatMe’s mission. These employees must work in a timely manner. Pet experts will be needed to evaluate certain important questions that need to be asked about the pets and the answer that the potential owners should answer. TreatMe must also have a staff full of knowledgeable marketers, as well as animal lovers, willing to push and promote TreatMe in order to raise awareness of the business and need for adoptions. TreatMe’s five nearest direct competitors within the Murfreesboro location would be Petsmart, PetCo, Animal City, Petsense, as well as all small local breeders.Indirect Competitors would be any place that could fill the need of a pet with something else. Other pet stores and dog breeders will compete for our customers, because we want our customers to adopt, and brand name pet stores want the customers to buy expensive pure bred dogs. These other pet stores are already established and well-known, which is a strength. However, a weakness is that these pet stores hardly, if ever, sell out rescue pets, which TreatMe only does. Most people are looking to rescue a dog rather than spend hundreds or even thousands on a pure bred. This is something that TreatMe can greatly promote. Our competitions product differs from ours, because we offer saving the lives of rescue pets, and matching these pets up perfectly to the needs of the potential owners. Our pricing is very fair for such quality and precision, while the rescue pets are often very cheap as well. However, there is no business quit like TreatMe. Most shopping is done online these days, so picking out the perfect rescue pet for you at your fingertips seems perfect.
