What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?
We are solving two problems with our application. Lack of an educational community that exists more than just in the class and lack of a simple, effective, and extremely fun and easy to use user friendly interface within and learning management system.
What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?
The attributes that will make this product successful are its multi purpose educational tools and sense of community within the application. Teachers can have in class live feeds, upload documents, create quizzes (that will be automatically graded), communicate directly to students/entire classes, or other teachers, grade assignments, share announcements, upload a class calendar, take attendance, access student profiles and more. They can achieve all of this within an extremely user friendly interface. As for students they will be on the other end of the teachers features and also have the ability to take notes within the app (make flashcard directly from notes), share content (documents, slides, flashcards) directly to peers within the community, and meet and connect with new classmates/ schoolmates to better achieve educational success.
Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?
Our team will be able to successfully launch this venture because we have the technology and resources to execute it. Our product is a multi platform educational community that implements unique and helpful features that will not too complex to create, but will become extremely beneficial to all classrooms. We plan on reaching our initial users via contacting, schools, teachers, and students directly. We are confident that once people use our online educational community they will not want to use any other form of a online learning system again. Our application is so simple to use yet has so many advance features it will be hard to compete against. Since it is a community app, if one teacher decides to use it all his or her students will use it and it will expand from there. Another way we plan to reach our initial users is by online advertising. Our market is definite, growing rapidly, and extremely valuable. We are helping students and teachers with their entire learning experience inside and outside of the classroom. In 2016 there were over 17.5 million college students in the us alone, and estimated 19.8 million high school students in the US. We plan to go after the U.S. market first then expand into other countries and classrooms worldwide. Currently there exist little to no other competitors on the market for an interactive educational (linked/facebook like) community with tons of features. Our sustainable competitive advantages not only stem from our human resources and extreme talent, but also our deep passion to create something that we and many other people could use every single day. We have the desire to facilitate the learning experience for students and create a strong sense of community. Another advantage we have is being in the market we are going after. We constantly interview, test, and experiment with the community around us.
