Drivers the first icelandic taxi application that is built for licenced taxi drivers regardless of what service station they are registered at.

This means that we can offer users the "uber" experince in iceland with out waiting for new industry regulation.

We have been working with the taxi drivers themselfs to create the perfect app for the driver.

The drivers pay a fixed fee for every ride they accept with a montly cap.

Who is your customer?

People who need to get from place A to place B with a licenced taxi driver. The drivers themselves are also our customer as without whem there is no app and vice versa.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

For the consumer this solves the problem of having to search for a taxi station phone number, waiting on line for them to pick up and not knowing when they will arrive. It basically solves the market need/want for an Uber like app. For the Drivers this soleves the problem of waiting in designated areas in taxi lines. It gives them the power of choosing the customer and gettin the infomation they need when they need it. It also solves the problem of few customers during the week days as this app will generate more trips with the use of foreign visitors.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We have created a platform that the drivers themselves would love to use as it was created with their help. We have a great team that is dedicated to making the first taxi app for Iceland that is for all the drivers, not just one station. With an easy to use app for all people(natives and foreigners visiting) we have created more value for this market.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our team that consists of an business and marketing major with great leadership and skills for creating new companies and a software developer with over 10 years of experience as the core team. We also have four advisors in the software field that are on standby. The reason why this app will succeed is the way we are developing it around the regulations in place. That means we dont have to wait for them to maybe change sometime in the future. There is no one in market that has this kind of an application and as we have started to develop it we have a strong advantage over others that might want to try to copy us.
