Abstract

Siapapeduli is a technology-based social entrepreneur to fund health funding of underprivileged

patients with a digital approach, social media, and the power of volunteerism. This is what

distinguishes the SiapaPeduli.id from other crowdfunding, There are many crowdfunding programs on the

outside but fundraising types are more diverse, so sometimes the focus to those who are sick

is also divided and causes the collection of donations was deemed less than the maximum. siapapeduli.id is the new concept for only the underprivileged people who could not afford to access healthcare.

This project is managed by 2 project officers and 1 project manager who have their respective

duties. The task is divided into 3 major groups namely, Administrative, Fundraising and Partnership, but in practice, which makes this project big is the personnel who can run the whole

task in multi-tasking.

Patients who will be raise funds by siapapeduli.id verified thoroughly and integrated with the

help of volunteer and digital validation. So it can be ascertained that the funds raised really need

help. Because the patient is verified, the possibility of false patients and inappropriate donation

of the target can be minimized.

The siapapeduli.id get the early fund by ourself as the founders. Approximately about $1000 to

develop website, and promotion who spend extra amount. Then we seeking by applying the

grant to the company or other foundation to support our program. After well-established for 3

months because of advancement of our need to enlarge our impact we decided to cut the

donation for 12% for the development of siapapeduli.id, the donators are not mind about it.

Who is your customer?

Our main customers is devided into 2: patients and donators. The patients are underserved community that need medical action due to suffering illness and they could not afford the cost and for the donators we looked for anyone who have awareness and empathy to help people who unable to access the healthcare.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Here is the problem we solve with: 1. Economically inadequate people to meet the cost of obtaining adequate health services. 2. Patients who need financial assistance for immediate medical treatment, eg surgery that requires large funds or patients who need home care. 3. Patients who do not have BPJS (national government health insurance) or BPJS owners but the medical action done to the patient is not included in the list of BPJS financing.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We are different from other crowdfunding sites because we only focus on health, help those who are sick and underserved when the others side are still too widespread, they have also funding for natural disasters and others, so help for sick patients is less than optimum. Beside that we have integrated system with our other programs which are garbage clinical insurance (a micro finance for poor people who did not cover by BPJS and did not have sufficient budget) and homedika (the application program to connect patient and healthworkers)

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We have arranged the strategy to enlarge our impact: -Digital: We have already made the website for SiapaPeduli.id, then we will advance our benefit by making application for android to enlarge the patients and healthcare workers. -Social Media: In order to promote our program, we will make the competition for community who have relation of poor patients who in need and they must share it to others. The more they get, the bigger opportunity they won the competition. -Volunteer: We have hundreds of volunteers accross Indonesia. We can rely on them to get more patients in need and to be the promotion tools and get more donators. -Partnership: Despite our previous programs, Garbage Clinical Insurance and Homedika, in our foundation we will enlarge the partners particularly for hospital and clinics so any patients who will be treated can get priority by them.
