Abstract

Our app targets, college students and businesses. It provides a swift and easy way to exchange contact information and social media accounts. In essence it is a virtual business card. The app links to all of your social media accounts, in addition to your phone number, email, ect. It then generates a QR code that contains that information. When another user scans the code the app will follow the selected account and make a contact in the users phone. This would eliminate the need for 5 different links on websites to their twitter, Facebook, Instagram, snapchat, ect. instead businesses could use this one button. For individuals it’s for the convince of being able to add people on all social media platforms easily and quickly.

Who is your customer?

We have two main target audiences; students (specifically college students) and business men or anyone in a professional career.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Anyone who meets a lot of people will know the struggle of hanging on to stacks of business cards, or remembering who the "John" is in your phone that you added last year as part of a business project. Index allows you to quickly add all of someones contact information at once into your phone. As a student, I meet people all the time as well, and the process of adding someone on 6 different social media accounts can be really annoying. If I want to quickly get someones number for a school project, it can also be a challenge. Index solves all of these problems.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

There has never been a app, or even a company for that matter that focuses on organizing contact information and improving the way we share it. It seems like that if our society is doing away with paper, that business cards should be a part of that. Index provides a easy and fast way to make that happen. We believe this app will be successful because it solves problems in two different consumer bases at once.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We have an advantage already because no one has ever done something like this before, so we can set the industry standard. We are executing our idea by creating very specific mile stones and getting as much professional help as possible to ensure we are taking the correct steps.
