Additional Questions

Who is your customer?

Students at high school, tertiary, and professional education levels.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Price and quality are important concerns for West African students at any level. Brick-and-mortar schools are saddled with high fixed costs, inefficient infrastructure, limited access, differentiated learning styles, and content development/relevance issues. This means several hundreds of cedis for students on fees, extra classes and textbooks/reading materials. A new school year practically means bankruptcy for most people we interviewed.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Four friends started Ledemy on June 26, 2017 while working for one of Ghana's best technology companies. Online education was slowly becoming popular in Ghana back then, but we had a hard time finding localised educational content to read or watch online in our quest to continuously improve ourselves. So we decided to create an online education platform that provides content for people like us - young and internet-savvy Africans with a growth mindset.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We can’t imagine doing anything else other than to build Ledemy right. All cofounders love to learn and teach; always excited to share what we learn. Because we don't believe anything should come between anyone and their future. We are building a solution for our own problems.
