TicketRx

Abstract

TicketRx is a digital platform that connects attorneys and motorist with the push of a button. The TicketRx smartphone application matches motorist to a licensed attorney in the area where the violation occurred. A TicketRx attorney will contact the motorist within 24 hours to discuss the case. The confirmed attorney will handle the case from start to finish, which in most cases requires no court appearance. TicketRx is the UBER of traffic ticket resolution.

Who is your customer?

The primary users of TicketRx will be solo practicing and small firm attorneys, CDL holders, and the general public.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

TicketRX, during market research, identified three target market segments (average motorist, CDL holders, and attorneys) that would use the TicketRX platform and reasons for use. The average motorist, approximately 190,000,000 licensed drivers in the U.S., needs a quick and convenient way to locate a qualified attorney to resolve traffic tickets. A motorist retains an attorney and challenges a ticket can waive a hearing, prevent a points assessment against his or her driving record, prevent the average $900 increase on insurance premiums over three years, limit the potential loss of employment or ability to obtain employment if clean driving record required, and avoid jail. CDL holders, approximately 10 million holders in the U.S., face additional consequences beyond those faced by the average motorist such as governmental compliance and employment. TicketRX research indicates a greater use of attorneys by CDL holders due to these concerns and the general nature of interstate transportation. The TicketRX platform allows a CDL holder to locate qualified attorney in unfamiliar territories. Traditionally, a CDL holder would rely solely on advertising when searching for an attorney. TicketRX provides the CDL holder with reviews and access to attorneys aware of the specific issues related to CDL and traffic tickets. The solo attorney and small law firm (2-4 attorneys), approximately 700,000 attorneys designated as solo practitioners or working in small firms in the U.S. require a lead generation source which provides quality leads and a strong return on investment. TicketRX solves the business development issue by allowing the attorney to focus on billable hours instead of non-billable business development activities.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

TicketRX competitive advantage starts with its focus on multiple market segments to generate initial cash flow and a long term strategy to expand into related legal services. TicketRx’s initial focus shall be on capturing average motorist and CDL drivers, providing a better mobile platform for attorneys, and a greater return on investment for attorneys. TicketRX will create a better user experience for the average motorist and CDL holder with its simple design and three separate funnels to the TicketRX platform: the SMS Chabot, a mobile application, and highly adaptive website. TicketRX competitors focus on one entry point for customers such as mobile application thereby limited access to their services. TicketRX, in later phases, will create services which encourage activation, retention, and referrals. TicketRX will generate quality leads for the attorneys, create a better mobile experience for attorney, and allow the attorney to focus on billable hours. The TicketRX process and platform also allow for an expanded suite of legal services for the attorney subscribers without significant re-development.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

TicketRX as a team of individuals with relevant experience and expertise : Bryan Shannon, the founder and CEO of TicketRX. Bryan has 10 years of sales experience in Business to Business and Business to Consumer sales and specifically, three years selling to attorneys and law firms. Bryan’s experience with law firms and his claim of the record for most traffic tickets in the KC Metro during his college years generated the idea for TicketRX. Zach’s legal practice has focused on startups and small businesses. Zach provides his clients with legal advice in areas such as compliance and growth.
