Predictive Analytics in the Medical field have hit a wall because of the quality of data. We, at Vitrix Health, are creating affordable cancer tools to deploy in developing countries and harvesting the data to create more accurate machine learning models.

Who is your customer?

We beneficiary of our product is broadly all dental patients, but statistically speaking, men with habits such as tobacco, smoking, and drinking which greatly increase the risk of oral cancer. Our customers are dentists in developing countries, NGOs which conduct screening camps, and governments tackling oral cancer.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

We allow early detection of oral cancer in the context of developing nations, where medical expertise is hard to come by in most areas. Early detection of oral cancer (Stage 1 and 2) decreases the 5-year death rate for oral cancer from 80% in Stage 3 and 4 to just 20%. Essentially, increase survival by 4x and stop the breadwinners in many families from being incapacitated or dying, thereby increasing social and economic wellbeing.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We are 20x cheaper than our competitors, and we are the first to incorporate photoguidance and machine learning software along with telemedicine capabilities. These features are integral to success in developing countries. We know this from customer research we have done in subsistence markets in rural India (Winter 2017).
