Think VR: help ppl with autism grow

My aim is to create a global technology services hub to help make life easier for people with autism and their caregivers. People with autism and their caregivers have many struggles in life. Through the power of assistive technologies and using my own experience of living with autism, I want to create 3D VR worlds to teach people with autism new life and social skills, and also create 3D virtual job hubs for people on the spectrum to help them find work or start their own business.

One percent of the world's population has autism - about 74Million people globally. In my hometown, Townsville, autism affects about 1900 people and their families and costs them about $106Million each year. Autism also costs governments, schools and businesses a lot of money each year working out ways to provide better and smarter interactions with people on the spectrum.

Through assistive technologies like VR and wearable devices, I want to create a world that leaves no one with autism behind. My global technology hub will help people with autism learn new life and social skills and provide reverse immersive experiences and simulations for caregivers and others to understand what it's like to be on the spectrum.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

My solutions are based on feedback from top uni's and research centres including Duke Uni, Bond Uni and the Autism CRC. My solutions are als being designed with UX input from people on the spectrum like me - solutions for people with autism by people with autism.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

I have an awesome network of like minded startups that can collaborate to make the technology services hub a reality, including many global award winning startups based in the US, Canada and the U.K. My philosophy is Dream Big, Work Hard and use the power of 10X Moonshot thinking to achieve my goals. Also, living with autism, I bring a unique UX experience to my venture.
