Ex Vivo Dynamics

Our company is in the business of producing medical devices, specifically blood chelation filters for frequent or high volume blood transfusion requiring patients. Free iron from lysed cells and damaged erythrocytes in the stored blood enters the bloodstream and has deleterious health effects, including infection and organ damage. The current treatment for this condition is chelation drug therapy, which is costly and often has dangerous side effects. Our technology is a filter that removes the dangerous components before transfusion. This product fills a gap in the market and is an innovation in the medical field, as no such product yet exists. There exists a significant patient population in need of our solution. Our target market is a hospital hematology unit treating these patients. Our small internal sales force will educate doctors about the technology and sell directly to the hospitals. Initially, we will market and sell to New York City hospitals, then expand nationally, and eventually reach a global scale. The Ex Vivo Dynamics filter will increase the life span of thousands of patients, as well as reduce lifetime costs for hospitals, insurance companies and patients.
