Abstract

Thetubelights is an E-commerce and digital service provider especially for Rural India.

We are providing online shopping services and other digital service like Money Transfer, Insurance, Gas payment, Electricity bill payment, Mobile recharge, DTH recharge in Rural Areas of India where other Giant mega stores are unable to reach. Basically we setup Kiosk/Franchises in a particular Rural area with a Laptop & Tablet,and our portal with above services running on it now if anybody from that village or tehsil or district wants to shop something online then they enter into the kiosk and our kiosk executive helps him to select the item then he orders from that kiosk then we receive the order and then after procuring the order from local vendor we send the item through bus service or India post service to our Kiosk operator then he delivers the product into that area by COD service. We have huge varieties of products on our website & app such as Electronics, Merchandise, House stuff etc,

We also have become an affiliate of Flipkart so that we can deliver the products of Flipkart in Rural India by our Logistic channel.

Flipkart will share the commission with us on every product sold from it through our app/website which are basically operated from our kiosk/franchisee operators

Who is your customer?

People who belong to Rural India from Age 15-40 are our target customers. There are 857 million people in Rural India Amongst them 25.7 % (220.249 million) are below poverty line And 5%(42.85 million) are rich farmers and businessmen Therefore 69.3% (593.901 millions) are our target customers.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

We are solving the problem of shopping and Digital service reach in Rural areas of India. Since big giants of E-commerce are unable to deliver their product in Rural areas because of several problem.We here are solving the problem of Online shopping via our Logistic channel by Franchisee operated model and also providing different Digital services for Rural like Money Transfer, Insurance, Gas payment, Electricity bill payment, Mobile recharge, DTH recharge etc.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Since more then half of India belongs to Rural and this market is still untaped by any other E-commerce giant or Digital Service provider. Sometime people find very difficult to purchase a product from his/her town or village because sometime products are not available, sometime they are available but they suffer with quality, issues and most importantly the products are costly there. And people of rural faces a lot of problems by going to nearest city to buy something.And we are only focusing on this market by providing Online shopping service and varieties of Digital service via whole new kiosk/franchisee based model through which a user can come and place any type of Order with the help of our Operator sitting over there. And since a user of Rural finds easy to buy a product from the market or shop so our kiosk/franchisee will be his/her real shop with virtual products

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The rural market is very unorganized and still untapped by any other E-commerce giant and we have initiated on it before 1.5 years so we are already serving in this market and we know what problem people face and what are there solutions. We also have strong partnership with some Govt. LSP's (Local Service Providers) which are helping us to expand in strong, efficient and effective way . And we also have strong connection with local Rural Market we have strong mentoring support from India and other country too so by these ways we are going to make this product successful.
