Additional Questions

Who is your customer?

- (Existing and new contract) DoD aerospace contractor aircraft operations directors or quality managers who are responsible for regulatory compliance - DoD Administrative Contracting Officers who are seeking partnership agreements for contractors that lack a preexisting, regulatory-compliant process

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

- Contractors receive formalized, negative ratings and/or narratives for regulatory non-compliance - Contractors do not have the internal expertise required to prepare for major inspections which have major impacts on their contract performance history - Prime contractors seeking subcontractor involvement need independent evaluation of candidate companies' ability to comply with regulations

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

The Company will emulate the auditing functions of the US Government and provide confidential feedback directly to the contractor so that issues may be fixed before they are discovered and formally documented. A thorough customer discovery effort and real-world experience as a US Government representative has made apparent the demand for this service. For fiscal year 2018, the DoD budget for aircraft is approximately $50 billion. Contractors hire outside service firms on a regular basis to ensure compliance and reduce risk to negative performance ratings on the prime contract. Depending on the urgency and size of the contract, the billable rate can vary from $200-350 per hour.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

No company currently exists that specializes in this service. Founder and CEO is a 20-year veteran of the US Air Force and a subject matter expert with unparalleled experience and expertise. Barriers into this market are very high due to training pipeline and demographic restrictions which are defined by regulation. The idea is easily expandable with a consistent-feed labor pool (retired military) that is educated, experienced, reliable, and has no requirement for health care coverage. All of these factors combine to reduce risk and increase net profit. The US Gov has an annual goal to award >3% of all small business contract awards to service disabled veteran owned small businesses due to federal regulations. Veteran-owned small businesses are also entitled to a specified percentage of contracts (FAR 52.219-9 & 10). Upon the CEO's retirement from the US Air Force, this business would qualify for consideration for these awards.
