Abstract

MySnar is designed with your nose shape in mind. It is a personalised nasal adaptor which snapfits into your nostril. MySnar comes in four shapes. It is a low cost effective solution and developed using advanced science and engineering technology.

Who is your customer?

Our proposed adaptor, MySnar will be used by patients who suffer from chronic sinusitis. The adaptor snapfits into devices inhalers Flixotide and Qvar. It snapfits easily into patients' nostril. They are easily self-administered.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Current Butacort and Flixonase are ineffective steroid sprays although still most commonly prescribed. Patients are asked to use odd head tilts and body positions while self-administering. This creates adherence issues.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

MySnar design is based on advanced statistical models of nostril shape. It is sleek and easy to use. Patients will not make mistake using this adaptor.

The team has published research articles and peer-reviewed conference works. The team has access to advanced design, modelling and simulation capabilities complemented by clinical insight. The team also has access to patient nose imaging for further testing.
