Who is your customer?

Our Prototypical Student would be a child between the age of 5-16 years old that struggle to master the skills of becoming life-long learners due to factors including social, emotional and environmental changes in our society. Our Prototypical Parent/Guardian would be a working parent with no “true time” to assist child with studying or effectively dealing with school related issues, guardian that have the task of being caregivers due to family adoption, etc., or grandparents with the task of raising grandkids the best way they know how without the expertise of new age curriculum.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Customer Problem: Students not receiving adequate attention, nurturing or motivation to excel in classrooms due to disparity in education, standardized testing requirements, and factors associated with socioeconomic status.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Solution: Providing an effective, quality education for “all” students enrolled by teaching based on grade level curriculum, their learning modalities and their needs; to include, the students’ needs away from school. We offer parent workshops/seminars (resume writing/GED Prep) and our class sizes are smaller than average (14 students to 1 instructors). We provide free tutoring Services, our curriculum is taught in a manner that is kid-friendly and standards are met or exceeded in comparison to local, state, and national standards. I am confident that our attributes will continue to be successful because it has for the past two years and four months of being opened. Our faculty and staff will continue to focus on the main goal---STUDENT & PARENT SUCCESS.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our team offers a daily teaching schedule that is designed to motivate as well as ensure that our students are ready and willing to learn without being embarrassed about asking questions or giving commentary. Our school schedule is also designed to have all core subjects (Reading/Language Arts, Spanish, Science, History, Band/Music and Mathematics) to be taught during the first four periods of the day…before lunch. And all electives (Tae Kwon Do, Art, Computers, and Physical Education) are taught during the afternoons…after lunch. We also offer extended day activities after school as well as summer enrichment courses. The advantage that our school has over other private schools that are new to the market is our previous successes. We have been in operation for two years and four months and we have exceeded our goals , thus far. Our enrollment has more than doubled since the first year, our students standardized test scores have increased and our students motivation for learning has increased 100%.
