Who is your customer?

Underrepresented lower-income female students and female minorities.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Silicon Slopes is considered the second Silicon Valley of the country. However, Utah has the lowest percentage of women working in STEM jobs. Whatsoever, this percentage holds steady in K12 education, becoming chronic in lower-income populations and minorities.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

CodeDevs addresses these obstacles of woman in STEM jobs by reaching out young girls in K12 and exposing them into a positive environment of female coaches, which is composed of Software Engineers and students of Computer Science & Information Systems that have the clear goal of teaching, mentoring, and inspiring them to code.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

CodeDevs is a team of woman who are passionated by technology, and who wants to share the knowledge and experience acquired. We are a network of female Software Engineers that believe females in lower-income families and minorities have the potential to reduce the gap we are witnessed of.
