Doctor Next Door (DND)

Abstract

Our model transforms the way emergency medical response is currently being given in Indian Healthcare sector. We plan to provide the fastest emergency response on a click of a button by investing in Nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and general practitioners(we call them DND’s) by aggregating them and bringing them on-board through high incentives and certified training on CPR and patient stabilization

Model is based on the fact that “Any but quick” help goes a long way than “Expert but late” help. A healthy ratio of 10 Doctor Next Door (DNDs) per 1km will be targeted so that patient gets the help in less than 5 minutes during an emergency. Initially we plan to launch in Tier 1 cities where an ambulance takes 35-40 minutes on average to reach the spot.

Customers will be attracted by not only an emergency service feature but also [email protected] services where we leverage our DND database. [email protected] will be our scale up plan after we have established credibility which will target people who stay away from family like students, bachelors and old aged. They get medical facilities at home through our mobile app.

Collaborations with health insurance firms and corporate tie ups will expand our consumer base to achieve ~13% share in 2years. Commission from hospital tie ups, insurance firms and service fee from customers will help us break even in ~3years.
