Abstract

Fine Acts Foundation bridges human rights, media, technologies and art to instigate social change.

We believe that art is one of the best ways to challenge social injustices and new technologies offer the most innovative solutions. Art can be transcending, connecting us to issues on a deeper, emotional level. Art can create a visceral respons–Ķ and forge action from empathy.

By producing, facilitating and supporting socially engaged art and media production, and by championing it into public and cultural spaces, we aim to raise awareness, trigger action, and foster greater support for human rights campaigns on a global level.

Fine Acts operating across issues and borders. In addition to our art and media production, we consult organisations and nurture collaborations. We stand behind the innovative Fine Acts LABS format, which brings together artists, non-profit leaders and technology experts to prototype the solutions for pressing social issues and vulnerable communities.

The lack of efficient and innovative communication methods for human rights and social issues, that could reach wider audience and provoke action for social change.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Fine Acts facilitates and makes sense of cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaborations between artists, media professionals, civil society leaders and technologists. We believe that art and new media are one of the best ways to challenge social injustices. Art can be transcending, connecting us to issues on a deeper, emotional level. Art can create a visceral response and forge action from empathy.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The team of Fine Acts has a solid experience in art, media production, marketing and human rights campaigns. We have a large international network and great know-how of how to curate, produce and distribute an art piece or a media campaign. We believe that our novel approach to social issues and human rights campaigning brings an added value to all participants and encourages a rethinking of how to talk about human rights in a global society.
