Who is your customer?
Our product is primarily to be marketed to aid organizations like FEMA, UNHCR, and the like, as well as to governmental entities seeking an effective way to humanely house refugee populations. In the future, we may branch into the tiny house market, selling an alternative model with more luxury options to potential permanent homeowners.
What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?
There is an unprecedented level of refugees in the world today, and they often find themselves living in unacceptable conditions wherever they wind up after fleeing their homes. Puzzle Modular Housing seeks to solve this problem by providing comfortable, secure, and cost effective housing to people without.
What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?
The design is based around small, modular units which can be assembled to fit available space, with an adjustable basic floor plan (in terms of adding or removing 8x8 squares to the floor plan). This design will allow for not only adjustment to fit space, but ability to more easily avoid spending money on space you don't need. Also, the modular design allows for rapid and simple setup and repair, cutting back on labor costs dramatically, and allowing the option of future components designed for more specialized tasks. In other words, there is room for expansion on the design.
Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?
My team and I will reach out to connections in aid organizations and government, establishing valuable relationships which will allow for a smoother launch and stronger foundation. We have an edge because we have relevant experience, a diverse set of necessary skills, a passion for the project, and a unique set of preexisting connections.
