raise your voice

Abstract

As an was an at-risk teenager. Though I was frequently a victim of domestic abuse, my situation was not identified by social welfare agencies and I was left with no direction in my formative years.

I was more fortunate than many in that I found an avenue to express myself in my writing and this became a valuable tool for emotional release. Based on my positive experiences and as a response to the many at-risk teens who choose harmful and even life-threatening ways as an alternative to self-expression, I founded "Raise Your Voice. “ we involve 'spoken word' poetry, which is a combination of theatre, music and creative writing. At the conclusion of each workshop the teen will have gained the tools and skills vital for self-observation and self-expression. Moreover, we offer our workshops to nonprofits and welfare agencies with a major substations, which made possible by donations and sponsors.

Who is your customer?

we are a social buisness, that works with the third and public sector all around the social and geo' perpheiry in israel.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

a clear lack of edujaction means for teenagers at risk at towns and muncupelitys that suffer from a lack of budget and support from goverment sectors.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

we are creative and enagage with the teenagers, by letting them exprss them self and tell their life story in their own languge and contnet. and verisys from culture to culture that we work with from bedouin to hasidic teen's. more over we subsidise our workshops with the help of the us ambessy and the private sector. in a way we can scale and reach more and more youth all aroun israel.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

our swat is that altrough we are quite new ( 2 years) we are the only ones in israel who use spoken word as a thearputic tool for youth at risk. by that we use exprinced guides, provide mentorship and evalutuion to keep our poesitve impact.
