The Little Engineer

Abstract

STEM Education Institute specialized in delivering pre-engineering courses for learners aged 6 to18. We have different tracks for different age groups with several courses in each track featuring Robotics, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, Modeling and Design, Space, Aviation, IoT, Oil and Gas industry, automotive industry, Agriculture and technonoly. We deliver our courses in our centers while in parallel we are integrating our concept as in curriculum activities with the private sector hoping to collaborate with ministries of education soon.

The Little Engineer is now franchising the concept in the world in collaboration with social Entrepreneurs passionate about STEM education. We are now in Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore with many other countries in the pipeline.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

We want active learners well exposed to STEM education ready for tomorrow's challenges We want to revamp the educational system in public school to enhance the learning environment and give all learners the same standards in STEM education

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

The Little Engineer was tested as retail center, Franchise , piloted in some private schools and was proven to be replicable in public schools if the funds are available . The Little Engineer did a strategic partnership in 2012 with Airbus and and now sustained the partnership with Airbus Foundation on some programs customised for Airbus which is The Airbus Little Engineer programme. It is the hugely successful result of the partnership between Airbus and The Little Engineer organization and over 3,000 students have taken part in the programme, which is operating in more than 12 countries from the Middle East to Africa and Asia. This programme has been running since 2012 and aims to inspire youth to focus on STEM studies and pursue the dream to become the engineers and innovators of the future. The market is big, the product and the technology is needed and there is a call everywhere around the world to engage youth in STEM education to prepare future talents and active learners. We have been doing that since 2009 and the impact and results are impressive

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

After being coached by Vital voices mentors from the VV Grow program and Gobal Ambassadors, I learned how to built a strong passionate team with high caliber ready to grow with me . We have a great management team handling the local and the international operations supported with an R&D department consisting of 5 engineers fully dedicated to our expansion plan. We are collaborating all together to fulfill the mission and the vision of our company with great values. " passionate team with our R&D is our strength"
