Additional Questions

Who is your customer?

We expect our most prominent market to be working parents, families, and college-educated young adults. Current research indicates that 78% of Americans eat and drink to improve their personal well-being and that 64% actively take initiatives towards bettering their overall health.5 By targeting this majority of people that are health-conscious, we can capture a niche that typical fast-food restaurants struggle to market towards.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

53% of Americans live in the suburbs. It shouldn’t be difficult to find nutritious meals in the communities they reside in. Each day, thousands of parents travel home from work, contemplating whether they should cook dinner for their children, or go with the more convenient option and just swing by a McDonald’s. More times than not, they’re going to choose the latter, despite knowing that their children will be deprived of a quality meal. Rather than fill their children’s bodies with greasy fast-food, what if they had the option to feed them a convenient, healthy, and wholesome meal? We are convinced that the market for healthy, fast, and casual food is right at our fingertips in the suburbs of America.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

Soul Fuel will provide a combination of healthy and energizing meals, allowing us to differentiate ourselves from competitors that lack a devotion to their ingredients. In contrast to the other fast-casual restaurant competitors, we will locally source all our ingredients, ensuring our customers that they are supporting local small businesses with each and every purchase. Plus, for every choice on the menu, we will have an option for the customer to cater to their specific dietary needs. For example, they can easily make a meal gluten-free, vegan, low-carb, or even add more protein to their menu choice.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We feel that our greatest advantage lies in something so simple: convenience. We understand how difficult it can be to find a meal on-the-go, and even if you do find something that’s fast, chances are that it’s going to do more to hurt your body than it will do to help.
