Simpler Online Clothes Shopping


Our product wants to eliminate the gamble that is online clothes shopping. We want to make it easier for users to choose their sizes without doubting rigged size charts or measuring inappropriately. We are proposing a product that is both beneficial to the consumer and the designer. The clothes designers will have a better grasp of their consumers' anthropometric data.

Who is your customer?

Directly: The average online clothes buyer that often deals with returning his/her clothes to the store. Indirectly: Every clothes manufacturer.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

It eliminates the weird sizing methods used by clothes manufacturers. Clothes manufacturers usually tend to provide poor clothes sizes data on their website when selling them, and it is confusing for the user to make a proper purchase without having to return his products. 13% of online sales consist of Clothing apparel, which counts as $22,000,000,000 worth in sales. The number one reason according to Chargeback.com for product returns is Incorrect Size or Product.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

The reason companies would prefer their customers to use it is that it will reduce their freight cost on return shipping. The consumer will want to purchase it to prevent the whole hassle of gambling with online purchase sizes. The universal size chart will drive users and retailers alike to adopt the product in their business. A study has to be carried out as to whether people would actually use this product.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

The first part of the business would be to refine the design of the product. The one attached in the file is a rough prototype sketch of what it may look like. In that process, we will also construct the universal scale. We will design a product that will be easily mass produced at a low cost, such that it can be sold to customers at a relatively low price. The second part would involve communication with companies that deal with online cloth selling the most. Marketing the product to the audience goes on simultaneously. We will try to gather data from the second part to see what the trend suggests how we build the product.
