Life Gate Agro Farms

Abstract

Agriculture plays a vital role in the overall performance of the economy of any given country; it is said that, a nation that does not feed itself becomes a threat to its sovereign existence. Growing our own food, processing what we produce, becoming competitive in export markets, and creating jobs all across our economy, are crucial for our national security and dignity, We believe hunger is no doubt the world' most solvable problem.

Lifegate Agro Farms is the flagship project of Mienbib Global Resource Limited (MGR Ltd) an indigenous company whose vision is to redefine the business world in industries like the Agric, Food Service and Supply Chain industries etc. We have especially identified the need in agric industry and desirous of making a notable and indelible mark towards ending hunger in all its forms. It was conceived as a result of the desire to fill the food shortage especially in our continent, Africa.

We’re determined to adopt the goal #2 of the SDG which is "end hunger; achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture” Africa, Nigeria in particular is replete with opportunities to have enough food to feed other continents just looking at our rich soils and climates, but that has not been harnessed as yet, for this reason/s MGR Ltd through its Lifegate Agro Farms Project hopes to bridge this gap by contributing our inclusive quota in agro food production of livestock like poultry, fishery, piggery, cattle production etc, and food crops like wheat, peanuts, millet, corn, and sesame etc.

Lifegate Agro Farms has couple of factors that is counting as a positive/plus for us; our competitive advantage in the market place. One of our competitive advantages is cost effective agro food production technique which will help to drive down cost of production and overhead costs thereby giving us an edge over pricing. We are ready to offer our customers the best prices of poultry products thereby attracting a larger share of the market since everybody likes discounts. Another advantage we would have over our competitors is we are not just after making the money, we price above all else the healthiness of our farm products and this we will make clear in our value proposition. Again, our channels of distribution would also be an added advantage for us since we will be leveraging on technology; the company website, social media platforms to reach and sell our products. The fact that we’ll offer consultancy, training empowerment services in line with what we do, gives us an edge over other agric businesses in Nigeria. We are of the view that if we are able to offer both consultancy and training services we would build large customer base since our praise will be sang by everyone who came in contact with our services and were satisfied. It will likely take us less time than projected for us to be amongst the top agric businesses in the whole of Nigeria.
