We are a unique enterprise that creates high quality furniture and homeware from recycled, environmentally friendly materials. Additionally, we renovate and sell pieces of furniture and online DIY upskilling workshops to encourage consumers to reuse and make ethical choices.

Who is your customer?

Our products and services appeal to customers who want to consume more ethically, and fills a current gap in the market for beautiful, sustainable furniture and homeware.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

We aim to end disposable consumer culture and decrease waste through our reconstructed furniture and homeware products, and enabling people to DIY through online workshops. Our enterprise helps to reduce waste by using recycled, eco- friendly materials to create high quality products that are made to last. Through this, we address the consumer mentality of buying cheap, poorly constructed products that do not last, and usually end up in landfills. We are upskilling and employing non-violent ex-prisoners to be part of our team, which will provide them with stability and opportunities. We aspire to significantly increase their quality of life and end the crime cycle.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

By integrating digital experiences and ethical products, we are providing customers with choice and knowledge, in addition to developing trust with them. We will connect to mentors, experts, and the community to make the product and impact successful. There are no products like ours currently in the market. Our offerings will enhance the customer experience, and our meaningful impact (developing eco-friendly products and upskilling and employing ex-prisoners) will paint our enterprise in a good light and attract customers, giving us an advantage to others in the market.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We have practical as well as theoretical experience in sourcing used furniture and materials, and know what to look for and avoid to ensure our products are of high quality. This gives us an advantage over those new to the market, who may not have this experience.
