Ogden School of Music

Abstract

A music based charter school in the mountains of Western Carolina near monumental locations such as the John C. Campbell Folk School. This school will be the basis for elementary learning, along with an instrumental and choral emphasis that will benefit the students in the long run. It will be led by the best of the best music educators that have a similar goal to promote musicianship and professionalism. Being in such an ideal location, the school would have numerous opportunities for instruction, performances, and support.

Additional Questions

Who is your customer?

Students and parents interested in a charter school designed towards and promoting music education.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

It serves a market that many are not always able to attain. This is an ideal system that would benefit the area around it. As I have researched the surrounding area schools, not many have a strong program that launches their students into a music filled future. This solution is meant for the students and the community.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

I truly believe it would benefit more than just the students but also the community. What will create the success will be the music itself, the sole purpose o the school. Similarly, the success will come from the enthusiasm of the teachers and the support of the community.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

What makes my team different is that it is all students studying now, preparing now, and creating things now for a successful future. We may not graduate for three more years, but in this time it will take three years to create. What makes us different is our passions, our drives, and our need to see students thrive in and outside of the classroom.
