Glimpse, A New Perspective

Abstract

GLIMPSE, A New Perspective, is the first “Social Donor Platform” allowing charities to increase their donation frequency, customer base, and use of spatially targeted advertising through a social network. This is accomplished through our unique 3D Globefeed which creates real-time interactions between users, charities, and donors; bringing life back into the donation process.

Who is your customer?

Our customers are Charities around the world, and the Donors who donate to them.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

We solve the problem of simplifying the search process for causes around the world, keeping up to date with news and information, and helping charities do international marketing. In addition we help with the analytics process for charities in finding out where their key supporters are.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

There are many issues currently with international donation, and finding people who care about international causes. When charities can showcase their work, prove that their money is going to work, this helps increase donations. In addition, when users are reminded daily about the atrocities in the world, but modern news doesn't provide action items, they are left upset. We give the opportunity for people to take action from anywhere, and change that sour aftertaste of the news as a positive feeling for the rest of their lives.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

Our team is comprised of international changemakers who have worked on global projects in varying sectors. We all speak multiple foreign languages, have traveled extensively, are connected to powerful individuals (ranging to fortune 500) and have proven our work ethic by winning other competitions, features in articles, and our desires in other areas. What gives our team an advantage is our product is global. Competiting products can only work at the local scale, we can work local, regional, national, and internationally. In addition, our product is the first of its kind, connecting Charities and Donors on a truly friend based relationship. Friends hold each other accountable, and this relationship will be very visible between donors and charities.
