Barren and Polluted Land Solutions


The main idea is to have an autonomous process to create and deliver biodegradable pods filled with seeds, soil, and fertilizer. Since the pods will be spread with the use of unmanned aircraft, we will be able to reach more rugged and remote locations. We will also operate our own greenhouse for the production of commonly needed seeds.

Who is your customer?

We will focus our efforts on non-profit organizations, domestic and foreign governments, lumber companies, and large corporations looking for positive publicity.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

This company will help solve the issues associated with barren and polluted lands. The World Bank reported that an estimated one in ten deaths, in 2013, was attributed to air pollution. Millions of people in developing countries also die from malnutrition and related illnesses. When we bring more life to these areas, we improve the air, land, and quality of life for everyone.

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

I know this will be successful because I'm passionate about making this a reality. Even if I don't receive funding, I'm going to start this company, after I am working full time as an engineer. This passion and drive, along with automating the whole process, will lead to our success. Almost all of our competition does everything by hand. That labor drives cost up, and it is inefficient. With our automated system, we will be able to significantly reduce costs, complete tasks more quickly, and we will be able to access more remote and rugged locations.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

We will begin with fabricating our autonomous production line and drones. Next, we will start with local projects to test the delivery equipment. After that, we'll seek and obtain large contracts. Once we discover which seeds have the highest demand, we'll begin producing our own. Since I currently work for a metal fabrication company, we will obtain all the needed materials at a substantial discount. Our variable cost will also be much less than our competition. We'll also be able to complete the job more quickly than our competition. These advantages allow us to produce a higher quality product, superior service, and it's at a lower cost. Therefore, our value is greater than the competition.
