AK calligraphy

The idea of starting my own calligraphy business ignited through a friend’s father who showed me his calligraphy equipment. At that moment, I realized I could turn this into my business idea as I had enough artistic experience to back me up. I have had a passion for painting since high-school. This passion took me to regional and national competitions. I came the first place at The Original Art Sale 2016 where I was awarded the prize of $1,000. In 2016, my artwork was also selected for Wallace Arts Trust Exhibition where I was one of the 40 finalists chosen from around the country. In 2015, I placed first at the Royal Easter Art Show, and my award was presented to me by Sir Jerry Mateparae- former Governor-General of New Zealand. In 2016, I re-acclaimed my first place at the Royal Easter Art Show.

In summary, I would like to establish my calligraphy business. My targeted market are weddings, birthday events, envelope writing, invitations, chalkboards, wood signs and everything in-between related to calligraphy.
