Abstract

HubbonNG's journey started from an innate desire to create value for SME's. We started as a one-man social media advertising platform to boost customer base for business, expanded to offer delivery services, through a robust network of dedicated "delivery bosses". We are currently building our beta web platform for automated delivery booking services as well as business listing services for SME's and we look towards offering e-commerce, instant messaging and map navigation as added services to create value for both businesses and their customers. We see ourselves as a for-profit social impact business that looks to create value for SME’s in to play a part towards supporting Nigeria to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry innovation and Infrastructure).

Who is your customer?

Our customers are micro, small and medium enterprises with a focus on "Made in Africa" brands.

What problem does this idea/product solve or what market need does it serve?

Transportation/Logistics services in Nigeria and in the whole of Africa is a problem. HubbonNG looks to connect businesses to customers by creating a business listing interface and effective delivery service to ensure effective business-customer relationship therefore improving operational efficiency and cut costs for both the business and the customer which would boost customer acquisiton for our clients (Small and Medium sized Enterprises).

What attributes will make this idea/product successful? Why do you believe that those features will create success?

1. Business Listing (Free) This feature would give small and medium sized businesses the opportunity to showcase their businesses online at no cost to them. This would help drive customers to reach out to them. 2. Delivery Services We would offer our clients delivery services to that might not reside in their city of operations. This would enable them to access other markets in other cities that they would not usually look to access. 3. Instant messaging We look to offer this service to ensure that our clients (SME's) can seamlessly interact with regular and potential customers and they can agree for a purchase to be made. 4. Social media Advertising We would also use our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Blogger account to give educative information as well as boost customer acquisition for our clients through paid ads through these platforms and talk shows on our YouTube page. 5. Map navigation This would enable customers that prefer to purchase in store to easily locate our client's store and carry out the purchases in person. It would also act as a further means of advertising our customers. 6. PR We also look to do real time advertising on our delivery bikes and delivery vehicles to showcase our top performing customers. These attributes for us would ensure that we create maximum value for our customers to ensure that they succeed at their businesses. Their success leads to our success.

Explain how you (your team) will execute to make this idea/product successful? What gives you (your team) an advantage over others already in the market or new to this market?

My Degree in Civil Engineering from Coventry University, UK and 7 years work experience in the customer service and construction industry has given me great mathematical, analytical, effective communication, leadership and man management skills to carry out my functions properly as the Chief Executive officer of HubbonNG Services Limited. The Chief Operation Officer of HubbonNG is a Biochemistry graduate of St Mary's University, Texas, USA. He has 4 years work experience in the medical, customer service industry.He also has a knack for web development which he honed in his leisure time. His Leadership and micromanagement skills is laudable. His ability to break down goals into series of tasks and his coordination of our delivery team network both in Lagos and Abuja is amazing. We are the team to change the face of trade and logistics in Africa. We look to build our core team in the near future to serve our clients better.
